About Anchor US Branch

Anchor US Branch is the service name of Pillar Essential Goods, LLC, a Virginia limited liability company formed in February 2024 and based in Ashburn, Virginia, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The business is run by a US citizen resident in Virginia with hands-on experience managing US operations for a Korean company, including customs clearance and vendor and customer relations.

We work with small and mid-sized Korean companies that have formed, or are forming, a US entity and need a local person to handle the day-to-day work that follows: receiving and acting on official mail, keeping state and federal filings current, coordinating with their US accountant, and responding to US counterparties in US business hours.

• Form Virginia LLCs and corporations for Korean owners, obtain the EIN, and act as the Virginia registered agent (in the LLC's name, under Va. Code § 13.1-1015).
• Provide a Virginia business address and handle incoming mail and official notices, forwarding scans to the client within three business days.
• Keep the entity in good standing: annual registration with the Virginia State Corporation Commission and coordination of the annual Form 5472 / pro forma 1120 filing with the client's licensed US CPA.
• Serve as the client's US operations partner under a management services agreement: responding to buyer and vendor requests (W-9, certificates of insurance, trade agreements), interpreting on video calls, coordinating with the client's customs broker and state agencies, and reporting to the Korean head office quarterly.

• We are not officers, managers, members, or authorized signers of any client company. Our role is contractual and external. We have no authority to bind a client to any agreement, approve spending, or incur debt on its behalf. Any commitment must be confirmed in writing by the client's own management.
• We are not a law firm, CPA firm, or insurance agency, and we do not provide legal, tax, or insurance advice. Tax returns are prepared and filed by the client's licensed US CPA.
• We do not open or control bank accounts for clients. Account applications and identity verification are completed by the client's beneficial owner, as US KYC rules require.

When you deal with us on a client's behalf, you will see the title US Operations Partner, Anchor US Branch on our correspondence. Decisions still rest with the client company in Korea; we make sure they reach the client quickly and come back to you in English.
